Walking by Faith

Hebrews 11:1 says, "Now faith is the substance of things hoped for the evidence of things not seen." No matter who you are, what you do, what you have done, or the circumstances you are currently experiencing in your life, the foundation of your walk with God must be walking by faith. Faith is the rock that keeps you grounded during the storms that life is going to bring, and it is that same faith that vaults you into God's purpose and plans for your life. There can be no blessings if there is no faith.

Strengthening Faith

Faith is like a muscle; you have to work it each and every day. The more you step out on faith, the stronger you walk with God becomes. Often, when you are going through a difficult situation people, will tell you to, "Just have faith," and in your mind, you ask, "I am just supposed to believe that some way, somehow things will just work themselves out for my benefit?" Yes, that is what faith is. Walking by faith is believing in something when you cannot see it with your natural eyes. Faith believes that God has a plan for your life and he will lead and guide you accordingly. Which means that when bad or unexpected things happen in your life, you do not have to worry because you have a relationship with God.

Your faith is the comfort in knowing that whatever it is that is impeding your progression forward God will move you through it, and you will be stronger and wiser when you get through.

Faith vs. Fear

Walking by faith produces the fruit of the spirit that stares fear in the face and says I have a God that can deliver me, he does not fail, and he is always with me. Stepping out on faith is a concept that highlights your "walk with God." Your walk with God consists of several steps in a particular direction that is pre-ordained by God himself.

Stepping out on faith is continuing to walk in the direction that God is guiding you even if you do not know where you are going or agree with the direction that God has given you. You know the direction God has placed on your life because you have a relationship with God, and that comes from continually communicating with him in prayer. When you do step out on faith and believe God completely, then blessing and favor will flow over your life because you are living a life guided by a divine purpose.
